The teachers of the Drumfactory School Berlin offer a variety of styles and playing techniques that are relevant today. The teaching stretches from more classic styles like Rock, Pop, Soul, Funk, Disco, Jazz, Latin, Samba, Bossa Nova, Reggae, Calypso, Mozambigue etc. to modern styles like House, Drum'n'Bass, Fusion, R & B, Hip Hop, Rap or Jungle.

This way you have the possibility to try out different techniques and to develop your own style. If you are an advanced player you can develop yourself by getting in touch with new styles and techniques.

Together with your teacher you can shape your own learning goal and choose the learning tempo according to your needs.

The lessons are organized as private lessons or group classes and contain everything you need to play drums: reading music, drum techniques, music theory and aural training as well as advanced rudiments training, two-level concept playing, double bass, etc.

We also provide answers to questions like:

How do I function as a drummer in a band?
How do song structures look like?
Which styles are played in which kind of music, and how are they changing?

Basically the lessons always follow the specific interests of the individual student and it is equally made for persons without any knowledge who like to learn how to play drums, or for advanced/pro who want to improve their playing, to work on their timing, or to overcome unusual styles.

Students have access to a widely and constantly updated collection of literature and videos, that contains various international relevant publications of recent years.

How to work with a DJ

The Drumfactory School Berlin also gives drummers the chance to learn how to work professionally with a DJ.

The instructions are given by teachers with long experience in performing with DJs.
